The new miConverter 10/100 enables inexpensive fiber optic connectivity in Enterprise and Service Provider networks.

Fiber Miniature Media Converter

Irvine, CA, May 3, 2005 -- Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc., the premier manufacturer of fiber connectivity solutions for Enterprise LAN and First Mile Metropolitan Area Network applications, introduces the miConverter 10/100™ miniature media converter for cost-effective fiber optic connectivity to a desktop or laptop computer.

Fiber optic technology provides a higher level of signal quality and security than copper UTP. A fiber optic network link is immune to EMI, RFI, cross-talk, ground loops and other electrical problems, greatly enhancing the signal quality in severe environments. Conversely, fiber optic links do not generate EMI or RFI signals that can lead to security breaches like copper UTP. These characteristics make fiber extremely attractive to government agencies with major security concerns.

The Omnitron iConverter RS232 and iConverter RS422/485 managed serial to fiber converters transmit serial protocol over fiber media for industrial, data collection and security applications.

Fiber Media ConverterIrvine, CA., January 3, 2005 -- Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc., the premier manufacturer of fiber optic connectivity products for Enterprise LAN and First-Mile Metropolitan Area Network applications, introduces the iConverter® RS232 and the iConverter RS422/485 serial to fiber converters.

The iConverter RS232 and RS422/485 are managed serial to fiber converters that transmit serial protocol over fiber media for data collection, industrial and security applications.

Fiber transmission extends the serial signals up to 120km, and provides a higher level of signal quality and security than copper cabling.

New fiber converters enable delivery of data, voice, and video services at a fraction of the cost of conventional VLAN switch equipment.

VLAN Fiber Media ConverterIrvine, CA, May 3, 2004 -- Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc., the premier manufacturer of fiber media converters for First-Mile Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) and Enterprise LAN applications, debuts three new VLAN iConverter managed media converters. The new modules support the IEEE 803.1Q VLAN tagging, the 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization and feature port access and bandwidth controls enabling Service Providers to economically deliver data, voice and video over Ethernet in Fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) applications.

The VLAN, QoS and Bandwidth Control features enable Service Providers to tune their service offerings effectively to meet their user's needs.
