 iConverter Network Interface Devices (NIDs)

iConverter carrier-class Ethernet Network Interface Devices (NIDs) are NEBS Level 3, MEF 9 and MEF 14 certified to provide intelligent demarcation for Carrier Ethernet services with copper and fiber ports at the Customer Premises. iConverter NIDs support advanced performance monitoring and fault detection functions, including 802.3ah Link OAM and 802.3ag Service OAM. Comprehensive remote management and provisioning of services is available via SNMPv3 Management and Telnet.

 iConverter CWDM Multiplexers

iConverter CWDM Multiplexers/Demultiplexers, Add/Drop Multiplexers for dual and single-fiber increase the bandwidth capacity of existing fiber infrastructure. These modular CWDM products multiplex up to sixteen independent wavelengths over a single fiber optic connection (either a fiber pair or a single fiber). iConverter CWDM modules utilize a small and scalable plug-in form factor, and can be installed in any powered or unpowered iConverter chassis achieving some of the highest port densities in the industry.

 iConverter Media Converters

iConverter media converters provide seamless integration of copper and fiber in Enterprise and Government LAN and WAN networks. iConverter media converter modules support a wide variety of protocols, data rates and media types to create a more reliable and cost-effective network. The modular design and flexible configurations enable scalable fiber implementation with high-density chassis for the network core, and compact chassis or standalone modules for the network edge.

 iConverter Management System

iConverter modules can be managed or unmanaged. When managed, the iConverter management system provides the ability to remotely monitor network performance, configure hardware parameters, provision services, generate statistic reports and perform advanced fault detection.

Management can be accessed through a menu-driven command-line interface (CLI), via Telnet or the Serial Console Port. Management can also be accessed through a SNMP-based graphical user interface (GUI) such as Omnitron’s NetOutlook SNMP management software, or third party SNMP software.

NetOutlook is an SNMP-based graphical element management software for Windows that provides real-time management, status monitoring and configuration control of iConverter chassis and modules. It provides secure, Carrier-Grade network management services for Metro Ethernet and Enterprise networks.

Management requires a management module installed in the chassis, or a standalone NID with integrated management. Chassis management is achieved by installing a Network Management Module (NMM2) to a chassis.
