iConverter Network Interface Devices (NIDs) are MEF 9 and MEF 14 certified compliant, and provide carrier-grade Ethernet demarcation at the Customer Premises with comprehensive OAM, management and provisioning. A wide variety of copper-to-fiber and fiber-to-fiber models are available to support 100 and 1000Mbps fiber connectivity.
iConverter NIDs provide intelligent, securely managed demarcation, offering Quality of¬ Service, VLAN with Q-in-Q for E-Line and E-LAN services, and Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers with Optical Statistics for standard or CWDM applications.
Enhanced features include Layer 2 Control Protocol (L2CP) Policy Control support, jumbo frames and granular rate limiting in 64kb increments.
iConverter NIDs have integrated SNMP or IP-less 802.3ah OAM management with comprehensive monitoring, fault detection/notification and provisioning. They can be configured as a standalone demarcation devices, or as a plug-in module that can manage a chassis of other media converters.

The new iConverter xFF is a protocol-transparent media converter that provides reliable and cost-effective conversion between different wavelengths, multimode and single-mode, and dual and single-fiber networks. As networks continue to evolve, media converters such as the xFF can be the best choice for optimizing costs while adding functionality and speed.
The iConverter xFF operates as a protocol and rate-transparent device, supporting data rates of 1Mbps to 1.25Gbps by selecting the appropriate Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers. The xFF supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, OC-3 and OC-12 SONET.
There is no manual configuration required with the plug-and-play iConverter xFF. Simply connect the fiber cables to the appropriate interface and the installation is complete. Distances can be extended up to 140km on single-mode or 5km on multimode fiber, depending on the speed and protocol supported on the installed SFP transceiver.
iConverter xFF modules can be remotely managed via SNMP management accessed by Omnitron’s NetOutlook network management software, third-party SNMP management software, or Telnet.
The new iConverter X21serial-to-fiber media converter transmits serial data over fiber optic cabling that extends network links up to 120 kilometers. The iConverter X21 is available as a chassis plug-in module, and as a compact standalone unit. It features several configuration modes to enable connections with a wide variety of X.21 and RS-530 devices.
The iConverter X21 is designed for demanding applications where security, performance and reliability are critical. The X21 provides the reliability and connectivity features necessary for a wide variety of enterprise and military applications, including controlling radar installations from remote distances.
X21 features include:

The iConverter T1/E1 and T3/E3 media converters are carrier-grade products designed to give telecoms, cable operators, utilities and enterprises the flexibility to provide different services over existing fiber access infrastructure, thereby reducing costs and creating additional revenue opportunities.
The enhancements to the iConverter T1/E1 and T3/E3 media converters include support for small form pluggable (SFP) transceivers, which allow the media converters to increase the bandwidth capacity of fiber access infrastructure by incorporating Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology.
The iConverter T1/E1 and T3/E3 media converters feature a built-in fiber tester for diagnosis of the remote unit, eliminating the cost of external hardware or support personnel at each end of a link. The converters’ SFP support enables adaptability to different fiber types and distances, providing maximum flexibility across a variety of network architectures and topologies. They can be remotely managed via SNMP management accessed by Omnitron’s NetOutlook network management software, third-party SNMP management software, or Telnet.
Standard and CWDM Small Form Pluggable Fiber Transceivers for iConverter Network Interface Devices
Omnitron’s Small Form Pluggable (SFP) fiber transceivers provide flexible fiber connectivity for the iConverter Network Interface Devices and Media Converters. Omnitron SFPs provide specific fiber network and wavelength requirements, including single or dual fiber, single-mode, multi-mode and Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM).
New additions include T1/E1, T3/E3, X21, OC3, OC12 and Copper RJ45 SFPs.
Based on the MSA SFF-8472 standard, Omnitron SFPs support digital diagnostic capability, providing enhanced diagnostic information to assist network administrators with network maintenance and management. SNMP management software, such as NetOutlook, can collect enhanced, real-time diagnostic information including fiber optic Tx power, Rx power, voltage and SFP transceiver temperature.

The iConverter Gx AN Media Converter is a managed media converter that provides 1000BASE-T UTP to 1000BASE-X fiber conversion between Gigabit networking devices. The UTP port supports auto-negotiation or forced negotiation of duplex modes and pause capability. The fiber port supports both manual or auto-negotiation.
Fixed-fiber connectors support ST, SC, LC and MT-RJ connectors with distances up to 220/550m over multimode fiber, 140km over Single-mode fiber and 40km over Single Fiber. The Gx AN Small Form Pluggable (SFP) model supports a wide variety of 1000BASE-X SFP transceivers.
The iConverter Gx AN is available as a compact, unmanaged standalone unit or as a chassis managed plug-in module. As a standalone unit, the Gx AN is available as a tabletop or wall-mount unit. The tabletop model can be DIN-rail mounted using an optional DIN-rail mounting kit. Both the tabletop and the wall-mount models are DC powered and are available with an external AC/DC power adapter or a terminal connector for DC power.
Designed for Mission-Critical Enterprise and Service Provider Customer Premises Applications

The iConverter 1-Module Redundant Power Chassis is designed for mission-critical Enterprise applications and demarcation of Ethernet services at the Customer Premises. The chassis supports multiple power sources, configurable 10/100 Ethernet ports and a wide variety of alarm options—making it ideal for locations where power is unavailable or costly to install, or where the monitoring of external events is required.
Power source options include load-sharing combinations of Power over Ethernet (PoE), 9-24VDC and 24-60VDC. When used as a PoE device, the chassis is powered through one of the 10/100 network ports from a Power Source Equipment (PSE) such as a switch or a Mid-Span power injecting device.
The two, fully-configurable 10/100 UTP ports connect to the installed iConverter module via the Ethernet backplane, and support auto-negotiation, half/full-duplex and auto-crossover. The four optional contact-closure alarm sensors can be used to monitor and generate traps for UPS battery status or other external devices that monitor moisture, temperature, or opening and closing of enclosure doors.
