Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for testing, and repairing various assemblies for Omnitron Systems network products. The Manufacturing Technician must have the ability to be flexible, multitask, and work as part of a team. Additionally, the Technician is also responsible for complying with quality systems procedures, as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs software and hardware functional tests.
  • Maintains and generates test results and reports.
  • Inspects and repairs boards down to component level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Organization Relationships

The Technician reports to the Director of Manufacturing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training

The Technician should have a two or four year technical degree or equivalent work experience.

Technical Requirements:

  • Three plus years experience in repairing assemblies to component level.
  • Demonstrated ability in product testing, and repair.
  • Some programming skills desired (but not required).
  • High degree of self-initiative with ability to plan/manage tasks, conceptualize, implement, and validate solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated analytic and empirical problem solving skills. "Zero Defects" attitude and approach, minimal supervision required, committed to finish all assignments according to deadlines.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 standards (desired, but not required).
  • IPC-A-610 familiarity a plus.
